A lesson planned to celebrate Earth Day with my EAL learners (advanced level). 10 slides which contain opportunities to work on vocabulary, grammar, listening comprehension (videos), speaking and even 2 projects for students to choose from. This material has provided enough stuff for a minimum of 2 50’ lessons, depending on how long you want your students to work on the project. Vocab to practise module 5 in stimmt 1 textbook: in der stadt in a fun way. This card game includes 18 items of vocabulary and consists of 36 cards that include a place in town image and its name below. But careful! Some are labelled wrong - Students must grab one card and name the place they see before putting it down on a pile in the centre. If the place is labelled wrong and they read it without correcting it, they will have to get all cards from the pile. The winner is the person who runs out of cards. Perfect to review places in town vocabulary and key sounds pronunciation in class.

You will find plenty of vocabulary for students to be able to talk about what they do each day of the week and when exactly. This bundle includes units 1 to 5 from Module 2 “En el instituto" in Mira 1. A 60-slide ppt which covers the relevant language to teach Module 2.2 Cantas karaoke? from the Viva 1 textbook. Ppt contains plenty of vocabulary to give opinions and talk about free time activities in the present tense at length. It introduces the present tense of -ar verbs and frequency expressions to take their language up a notch. It includes tasks to practise all skills plus small vocab and grammar tests. This is a continuation / build up from Module 2.1, which you will also find on my shop. This resource includes a 127 slide ppt presentation I prepared to teach the new Edexcel International GCSE 9-1 for my yr10 group. As the textbook isn’t great, I created many extra resources to combine with working on the textbook. What’s included: resources for Unit 1: Everyday life at home and school, which at the same time includes activities for section: 1B School Life and Routine --> 1B.1 Asi es mi dia en el insti; 1B.2 Mi dia escolar; 1B.3 En la pista de atletismo del insti; 1B.4 LLa vida escolar. It comes with two extra lists of vocabulary for students to revise, and two versions of vocabulary tests to be done at the end of every-subsection, and overall a good range of activities that train the 4 skills, and grammar. I have also attached the list of vocabulary provided by the textbook for the Unit 1 Everyday life at home and school, corresponding to sections 1A to 1D, ALREADY FILLED IN WITH THE TRANSLATIONS for students to use as revision if you dont want to spend time from the lesson/homework to get them to write them down. This resource covers unit 5.2 from the Stimmt 1 textbook ‘Wir gehen einkaufen’, dealing with souvenirs (using ich mochte). 25 slides with vocabulary and exercises following closely pages 100 and 101 from the textbook and including variations and additions to it. NOTE: for instructions on what to do in some activities, look at the notes pane.

A resource created for pupils taking the Edexcel Spanish IGCSE 9-1 exam to show them how to prepare for tasks B and C from the oral exam. This bundle includes 2 different ppt presentations where students are shown sample A* (grade 8,9) sentences so they have a reference on how prepare these by themselves, and to know how to make them reach grade 8/9. One of the presentations was specifically designed for a bottom set (using basic tenses they should know by the end of yr 11), whereas the other was designed for a very able top set (includes examples of present subjunctive, imperfect, etc). The latter can be turned into a task: instead of providing students with the sample answers already, you can set them the task to translate these from English into Spanish (answers provided). This means your A* sample answer will be provided in English for students to practise translation skills. It’s up to you how you want to exploit this resource.

A 90-slide ppt which covers the relevant language to teach Module 4.2 Lo siento, no puedo from the Viva 2 textbook. You will find plenty of vocabulary for students to be able to reject a plan using a range of excuses, as well as to be able to propose a plan in detail, adding where to meet and at what time. This topic really is a continuation of Module 4.1 Te gustaria ir al cine? which touches up on accepting and rejecting plan. This resource is also available on my shop. A ppt which covers the relevant language to teach Module 5.1 Que casa prefieres? from the Viva 2 textbook. Students can start learning vocab related to types of houses, locations, adjectives to describe their home and houseparts with different online websites (QR codes included), then practise describing their house with different activities and skills. Lesson then moves onto looking at the rooms in the house and practice for that is also included. Ppt contains vocab sheets if you print these for your ss. A very complete lesson based on the Mira 2 express textbook, unit 1 “Presentaciones”, containing a range of different activities to do with your class. It also comes with a worksheet to practise the verb “gustar” , a vocab test, another activity to practise opinion phrases with infinitives, an extra listening activity, and a vocabulary grid to work on.
